Project: I am using strips of canvas to weave together a piece. This is going to be an abstract mixed media piece including text, drawing, and organic materials. I think this will challenge me through risk taking.
Objective: To broaden my horizons and expand my comfort zones. Also to take risks and experiment with text and new techniques. I typically prefer to do more traditional pieces so I am hoping to gain more breadth in my work.

Project: I plan to do a series of portraits of the same person with differnt facial expressions. With hopes of completig four pieces, I owuld like to then arrage the pieces together to form one large piece. Each portrat will be done in a different medium: pencil, charcoal, pastel, and acrylic. Each portrait will be 18×24 to create a 36×48 final piece.
Objective: To display various skills through different media for my portfolio and to deelop these skills. I also hope to capture various expressions and be able to bring the multiple personalilites together as one person. This will compare and contrast different facial expressions and show the simplicity and complexity of the person.
Materials: 18 x 24 paper, pencil, charcoal, pastel, acrylic paint.
Timeline: to complete each portrait in a week and a half, having the entire piece done in 6 weeks.
